Welcome my new followers, welcome. I like it to see where my readers come from. In the sidebar I (and you) can see that. If you click on that item, you'll see more information. The last new country was Peru. So Bietje goes international!
Een Knitta deurhandel
A Knitta door cosy
Magda Sayeg is from Austin, Texas, and is the founder of Knitta Please. Knitta is a group of anonymous knitters. They creates their creations outdoor. Or better, they wraps outdoor creations with their knitting- and crochetingwork. Like Christo but then with knitting and crocheting. It's often called 'knit graffiti' or 'yarnbombing'. Their mission is to make street art more warm and fuzzy. Their first object was a doos cosy from a shop, like the one on the picture. Fun, unexpected and maybe fun to try at home. The object which took my attention was this creation from Magda for an Art Festival in Rome.
Herkennen jullie ook de Grannys hierin?
Do you recognize the Granny pattern?
Jammer.
On her blog I found this picture and I liked it. But the weather here in Holland is too wet to drive one like this. My Mum once had a bading suit which was knitted, very stylish, till she went into the water. Then it reached her knees. . . And that will happen with this creation. Too bad.
And if you have to walk on crutches, you like to walk on these fancy ones. You'll never have to argue in the hospital which ones are yours.
On her site you can admire more of her work. She travels over the globe and wraps everywhere things. She was in the Netherlands too.
